Ronald Kasaakwa is the new KLC Youth Programs Manager. He hails from Mityana, but grew up in Mukono with his grandmother. He is passionate about engaging youth in meaningful ways and is currently working on a partnership between KLC and US Peace Corps to start a youth-led club at the youth centre. Ronald is also a trainer-of-trainers for the Peace Corps, focusing on lifeskills development.
Before coming to KLC Ronald worked with organizations, such as World vision and Youth with Mission with the goal of empowering youth to make positive changes in their lives.
Ronald Kasaakwa graduated from the Islamic University in Uganda with a Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies and received a Post Graduate Certificate in Project Planning and Management from the Uganda Management Institute.
Ronald says: “I keep doing what I do because I am working towards a world where youth are not an afterthought or a burden on communities, but celebrated human beings that count and are able to thrive”.
